The Galaxy Z Flip 7 as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 have received the March 2026 security update, as Samsung has released new software updates for its latest widely available foldable phones. These devices have started receiving the March 2026 security patch in their home country, South Korea.

The new update for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 features firmware version F766NKSS8AZC1, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 update brings firmware version F966NKSS8AZC1. Both updates have download sizes of over 500MB. They include only the March 2026 security patch, which fixes 65 vulnerabilities. There are no new features or performance improvements.
However, users of the devices in South Korea can check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap Install now to begin the installation. It will take some minutes as the devices will start again while the process is on.
It’s expected that the update will reach other regions in the next few days. Moreso, there’s the possibility that the long-awaited stable One UI 8.5 update, will be released for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 in a few weeks to come.
It’s expected to come with many new features and UI design changes. Samsung recently opened the One UI 8.5 Beta Programme for these devices.
